Sistem Lingkaran-Lebuhraya Kajang Sdn Bhd (SILK)
is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sunway Infrastructure
Berhad, a public listed on the Main Board of Bursa
Malaysia Securities Berhad.
SILK, more popularly known as KAJANG SILK Highway
was incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies
Act, 1965 as a private limited company on 20 December
1995. SILK is a single purpose company that holds
the concession granted by the Government of Malaysia
to design, construct, operate and maintain the 37km
KAJANG SILK Highway.
The KAJANG SILK Highway is one of the Government
of Malaysia urban Toll Highway project designed
to alleviate the daily traffic congestion in the
densely populated Kajang area and its vicinity.
KAJANG SILK Highway connects the following inter
alia major highway:
- KL-Seremban Highway
- Sungai Besi Highway
- Cheras-Kajang Highway
- Kajang-Seremban Highway
- Proposed South Klang Valley Expressway
KAJANG SILK Highway, not only reduce traveling time
for traffic between North and South of Kajang but
also, makes to and from Kuala Lumpur, Cheras, Sg.
Long and Balakong, Putrajaya, Semenyih, Bangi, KL
International Airport and Seremban most convenient.

The whole Highway
is attractively landscaped and with provision of
the rest areas which include surau and well-maintained
toilet facilities. Numerous pedestrian bridges are
provided to safe pedestrian crossings together with
noise barriers to reduce noise pollution at strategic
location of the highway.
The KAJANG SILK Highway is equipped with various
state-of-art operational equipment and Intelligent
Transport System (ITS) applications.
A comprehensive Traffic Control and Surveillenace
System has been installed and being used for monitoring
and managing traffic along the highway. The main
operating systems is as follows:
(i) traffic control centre
(ii) close circuit TV
(iii) variable message signs
(iv) computerized traffic signal junctions
(v) vehicle detectors
(vi) telecommunication network
Comprehensive and informative signages and road
markings have been installed throughout the entire
highway to clearly provide the information and
directions for the convenience of the road users.
To ensure added comfort and security, 24-hour SILK
Patrol teams (RONDA) is on duty for the entire KAJANG SILK Highway and on standby to respond and provided
assistance promptly to assist motorists during emergencies
or breakdown.
Touch N' Go Point of Sales counters are made available in Sungai Balak Toll Plaza for the convenience of road users.

There are total of four (4) toll plazas operations
24 hours on a open-toll system. The toll plazas
locations are as follow:
